I recon he has a good 10lb in hand.Skelton has laid him out for this for certain Honesty policy will deffinatly be the best of these next year and the flat track will suit his running style. He should just about win. Having 300 on Mr Hope Street and 150 on Honesty Policy plus a 50 double. Nice winner @ sp 4/1 |

After today’s race I’d say that you all know that a lot of luck was involved with that. Not seen so much confusion during the race for years. |

Does anyone have information as to why I Am Maximus moved to Willie Mullins' yard from Nick Henderson?
I'd previously assumed it was due to McManus buying him but that's not the case as his first run for him was when he won the Irish National. I can't recall hearing of a fall-out with the owners. |

I Am Maximus moved from Nicky Henderson's yard in England to Willie Mullins' yard in Ireland in November 2022 primarily due to a change in ownership and a strategic decision by the new owner to base the horse in Ireland.

Do you mean by 'new owner' JP McManus?
As I'd mentioned...he was with Mullins in his first 4 chases before McManus bought him and won the Irish National. He was previously owned by Claudio Michael Grech but could that have been in a partnership? Is that previous owner Irish? Doesn't sound like it as he has an Italian christian name. I can't find any information as to why he left Henderson...and as there's no mention of joint owners, I'm puzzled by this as things don't add up - I can't help but wonder about a possible fall-out between the owner & trainer. |
