George, I think most racewatchers knew the horse had gone wrong in some way directly after the stumble, what i also think is the horse carried on as it would have done with a clean jump.

If someone had the cojones they should simply ask Townend the following:
"Why did you pull up Fabiolo in the 2024 Champion chase but not Gold Dancer yesterday, when they had made identical mistakes?"
Although, to be honest, I suppose the answer is obvious.

Out of interest how many similar mistakes have we all seen this week (in all racing other just Aintree) and no broken back, no pull up etc/ - 4,5,, 10 I can't remember?

I believe it was Eddie O'Leary who was quoted as saying the horse had broken its back, and presumably he was relaying what they had been told by the vets who had examined the horse prior to being euthanized.
Willie Mullins has been quoted as saying they won't know exactly what the injury was until a post-mortem has been carried out.
