Aftertiming alert -- I backed the first three against the favourite who looked far too short (and too small). Take her out and it is no great surprise the winner won.

But the gamble does leave a nasty taste in the mouth.

So yeah. Too many punters lump on the thin'uns without checking the form or even the race. They don't run Gold Cup prospects in sellers. But on the other hand connections were clearly taking the michael and it's not good for racing.
