Was Aidan talking bollocks though or is this a group class sprinter? Even after the race, he called him a monster.

"In terms of the Guineas horses, the number one at the moment is Albert Einstein. He's done very well physically, he's big, powerful and he's very rapid. We don't know whether he's going to get the mile until we do it, his stride and his pedigree, and everyone says that he will get a mile.

is he really the best trainer ever?.  yes in terms of group winners but lets be honest i reckon theres more than 50%more group1 now then when stoute, cecil, vincent etc were in their pomp, and again no doubt about it he throws darts at many of the group1 , and may i say that a he still has to produce a real Great , even though according to him every year there is a special one in the yard

Chances of Gary O'Brien saying anything out of order? Sucks up to them all. If the horse had bags of speed why was it even running on heavy ground?

He throws horses at races because he has endless ammunition. If he only had 20 horses he would be lot less cavalier/foolhardy.

Ironically enough, Andrew Slattery gave a big shout for his runner Red Charlie in the last, to the very same Gary O'Brien before the AOB interview.

Think Aiden is a very decent man in general and a great trainer. This horse is clearly a sprinter but they were trying to make him a miler purely for the breeding end, like they try to make non stayers into Derby horses. I'm sure if Aiden wasn't under pressure from Magnier etc he'd run the horses where he thinks they should be running.

There’s enough in the formlines through Andab to Albert to warrant taking him on, that and never having raced over further than 6f.

Andab 5 runs 1 win 1 2nd 1 3rd

2/7 btn 2½L Rayif 9-1

6/10 btn 3¼L Zavateri 9-6

4/20 btn 3¾L Gstaad 9-3

3/6  btn 1½ Albert Einstein

(Finished behind Do or Do Not twice amongst those races above so gives the form some look of being creditable)

He’d said that PRico or Gstaad were to join Albert at Newmarket

When you look at the formlines he was the one anyway, going there without a prep run, his traditional method.

It doesn’t pay to listen to him at all!

Now imagine the Price of Gstaad if he’d of said he’s our only runner at Newmarket! Laugh

As we expect PRico to go France.

But it all goes back to last year, a narrative was laid down back then, the sleight of hand! When there was all the talk about his best horse missing the Coventry!

Sold people a dummy way back then!

Crafty AF! Devil

'My instinct is that she's an incredible filly' - Aidan O'Brien's exclusive horse-by-horse guide to his 2026 team
Published on 29 March 2026

Conor Fennelly
Reporter

Ballydoyle enjoyed another spectacular campaign last season with Aidan O'Brien saddling 26 Group 1 winners, just two short of his own world record set in 2017, and one of the most pleasing aspects was the phenomenal crop of two-year-olds who are now graduating to Classic ambitions.
Pierre Bonnard, Puerto Rico, Hawk Mountain, Precise, Diamond Necklace and True Love all landed top-level victories in their juvenile year and Benvenuto Cellini, Action and Montreal also look hugely promising. However, Albert Einstein remains the star pupil.

How was he that price after his run in the Dante?

In a race where they had another convenient non stayer as Fav with stable jock on @ 2/1

Whilst Lambourn won @ 13/2!

Made all and set strong pace, clear over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, stayed on strongly, unchallenged

Slight of hand Wink

I’m sure many benefited from that!

Irons, I know how they are. And I appreciate they try to stretch horses out for classics, as that is their business.
They talk their horses up for the sheds, but I dont agree they are trying to tuck the public up. What would be the point. It is not as though they are trying to land a touch.

Can anyone else come out and admit that they’ve backed it and are doing so in all honesty?

Yes we know that he’s done it before but last year should show that lightning doesn’t always strike again and again.

Are you taking the 16/1?

It looks a decent Guineas with lots of unexposed types, 4/1 was ludicrous!
