Pulled right away, looked tight going to the last

BoooooooomMMM !

Was a peach of a ride though.
Switched off in midfield throughout. |
By:
backed it for today but was waiting for it for £450 at 6/5 fav when they pulled it Cheltenham.

Cheats prosper!

Love when the race is won, someone from the team chirps in with they were told he would win story.
By:
They rarely miss, nice ride from Harry
By:
They all run them down the field to get them down. Been going on since racing started.
By:
if you think of the little guys who get done for so litle - completely ridiculous - still, that's always been the game
By:
Yes but it seem Skelton gets away with time after time.
By:
Did not back anything, however if I wanted to land a gamble, the Skeltons would be up there.
By:
All right if your on the right side of it and been given the nod
By:
Agree in hell.
By:
He was only 3lb off his highest mark. Why are they saying he's thrown in off this mark. Plus he's been running like a drain.
By:
Seems everybody in racing can see it going on with this outfit except the authoritys, the media cheerleads it when its a big name but condemn the small man, the only thing the punter can do is put yer money on when the day arrives.
By:
I would love 1 day to be in on one of these type of races.
By:
The Trainer told everybody that this was the plan
By:
I wish he told me.
By:
Ive got a list as long as my arm of horses being worked down the handicap. Best way to find winners. Forget about what they did last few runs, that dont matter.
By:
Prominent, lost ground before 8th, in touch with leaders before 3 out, weakened before last (inquiry into running and riding; jockey explained that his priority was to sit prominently and to race with cover as his mount has a tendency to race keenly; he added that as the pace was provided by Gowel Road who raced to the inside he elected to remain behind this runner resulting in him taking his line; he fiuther added gelding handles testing conditions well in addition to staying further, so he was not concerned about racing on this more worn line; trainer's rep had no explanation for the poor form shown
That day it proved he stayed 4 miles |
By:
The stewards often ask trainers to explain improvement. The trainer answers and the stewards accept it. Nothing is done. So it goes on and on.

He further added gelding handles testing conditions well in addition to staying further, so he was not concerned about racing on this more worn line; trainer's rep had no explanation for the poor form shown) (op 6/4)

The system is the issue.
Handicappers quick to raise handicap marks, slow to bring them down. Look at Venetia's winner yesterday...won off 140 back in November 2024. Only came back down to that mark in January 2026. |

Dont buy a horse from Dan.
Of that you can be sure. |

I had assumed the Charles Byrnes fan club would be on here giving Skelton the same. But no.
By:
Wtf would you assume that
By:
Byrnes deservedly gets pesters on here from certain posters. Isn't Skelton in the same bracket now?
By:
sum are more blatant than others.
By:
No, Skelton isn't on the same bracket as Byrnes.
By:
So is there different levels of cheating?
By:
Yes, jumping off at the last when you're going to win, after smashing into the only other viable oppo.
By:
Absolutely awful. But stopping horses in general, is there different levels of cheating (aside from jumping off)?
By:
Can’t say they don’t tell people unlike the other pasty faced sulker
By:
Thats ok then. Of course I'm using Byrnes as an extreme example. There's many baddies out there. A cheat is a cheat imop, can't have any of this 'bud he's not as bad as' type rubbish.
By:
As I said on another thread, what Skelton does is no different to most other trainers. He's the best at it, currently. There'll be hundreds laid out for this week that are still running.

How about the Grand National winner Ruller of the World, had never won a chase prior to the greatest steeple chase!
