Getting to the stage where you need to start using starting stalls in jump racing. Illogical but something like that has to de done. Stops this nonsense overnight.

Starting stalls has to surely come into the equation. I've read an argument against it is that jumps horses are too big for the stalls, but surely it must be feasible to make jumps specific stalls that are bigger so as to accommodate them.

Surely, then you revert to tape start on heavy ground when stalls can't be used. Even in a jumps season most ground is not heavy though. Stalls are still used on heavy ground on the flat though aren't they?
