4 in and £40K out.

It's a clown government obviously. But apparently, the threat is if they don't accept the bounty, they'll be kicked out a week later.

It kinda begs the obvious question, why not just skip the reward bit, and just kick them out ?

Does anyone really fail asylum? I can imagine under the current govt that genuine asylum seekers from Ukraine or Hong Kong might struggle but not the ungenuine* illegal entrants. Even serious crims seem to get to stay by arguing that they will be treated badly (i.e. appropriately) in their native country so if you're not already a serious crim then become one. Or if that fails get someone pregnant, convert to christianity / homosexuality, claim to be a child, all the usual stuff.

* obviously anyone who is genuinely fleeing for their life is not going to suddenly become safe by getting 10k

Not all asylum applications are successful. In 2025, 42% were granted at initial decision (not counting withdrawals or 'administrative outcomes'). The annual grant rate was lowest in 2004 (12%) and highest in recent times in 2022 (73%).

So 42% of the dinghy boys waved straight in last year, the rest get a free lawyer to keep them here for good.
There is no will to remove them, Rupert Lowe may be the last card we have.

Yes, I suppose it depends on the definition of "fail" given that they can launch an unlimited number of appeals courtesy of the uk tax payer until they eventually succeed.

Perhaps not on here, but most people aren't aware that huge amount of asylum applicants aren't actually the floaters. Although that is palpable as we can see them regularly being dropped off by the border farce courier service.

Loads of them come in via the student scam. After getting a student 'loan'. Most haven't seen a book aside from one that starts with q.

I personally have no truck with deporting people that came to the country following the rules. The rules that the establishment permitted may have been absurd, but it wasn't their fault. However, they do need to obtain UK citizenship in a specific timeframe. The feet of illegal people should never touch the ground, whatever nebulous excuse the liberalists have coached into them.
We also need to outlaw translation services, unless they want to pay for them.
The other day I went to a local atm and had to select the language first. ffs we are going to the dogs.

Restore Britain Rupert Lowe’s new party, over 100,000 members in 3 weeks paying £20’ they will deport all illegals, they will have more members than most come the general elections, how to hiss off most of the uk paying them to leave, you couldn’t make it up, what planet are they on, how to gain voters lol

And another significant change I would make is every single illegal needs to have a loan account. Sure, 95% of it will be written off, but it should be like student debt. If any of them get benefits or god forbit, leave to remain and a job, their income should be chipped to start paying off their loan.

At least we would have a figure that each of them are costing us.

It won't translate into electoral success, know all.

It is what it is as they say. Decades after Blair, EU immigration et al. The political make up of the elections. You've got Scotland SW England, all the metros have been taken over. All deliberate of course.

Restore will never win an election, outside of Low I doubt any candidate would poll over 10%.

It's a non starter.

Yes that's right, it's politics. Never mind what legacy media and oppo parties will try to tell you, Reform have become socially acceptable. Rightly or wrongly, you need to have that to win a GE. I'm especially keen to see how much traction they get in Scotland.

As I allude to, I have no appetite for kicking people out that are legitimately here. But they do need to adjust to our culture, not the other way around.
