This has been on the BBC website for over a week. It's written by one of their culture reporters.
All fine and good but it's no more than just a regurgitation of the Shergar story, well known to most of us.
It all falls apart and makes me thing it is mostly AI generated, at this point :
'Further victories in the Irish Derby and the King George VI Chase confirmed Shergar's status as a global racing superstar. '
Of course he actually won the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot that July of his 3 year old career. and not the King George Chase at Kempton.
OK. It made me laugh.
