Been all the rage overnight from 7/1 into 3/1 FAV. After its previous run comments said:-
"In touch with leaders, brief headway after 4 out, clipped heels before 2 out, weakened before last (trainer said, regarding the poor form shown, that gelding was unsuited by the track and soft ground, which in her opinion was riding particularly testing on this occasion, which was noted; jockey said gelding stopped quickly; vet had nothing to report) (op 6/1 tchd 11/2)"
So if it was "noted" then if at 4:38 it passes the post first, the stewards will be enquiring how the beast could possibly win on HEAVY when it didn't like SOFT? I understand any horse not liking Windsor but trainer emphasis was on going.
Backed it at Windsor that day and put it on Division 1 tipping comp. Watched the race and IMVHO was a non trier from the early stages. The winner was well ridden. I'll have a cautious bet today.

THE GREEN DRAGON HOTEL HEREFORD HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 4)
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference after jumping the final hurdle involving, the winner, KEL DU LARGE (FR), ridden by Ciaran Gethings and LUCKY BERE (FR), placed second, ridden by Harry Cobden. The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of KEL DU LARGE (FR) as the interference was caused equally by both horses leaning into each other when racing tightly, and KEL DU LARGE (FR) was always holding LUCKY BERE (IRE) to be beaten by a head at the line. The placings therefore remain unaltered. The interference was found to be accidental as both jockeys made sufficient efforts to correct their mounts.
The performance of KING JON OLIVER (FR), which was pulled up, was considered. The representative of Olly Murphy could provide no explanation for the performance of the gelding. The Veterinary Officer examined KING JON OLIVER (FR) post-race and had nothing to report.
Following the race, Ben Jones reported that CANTY BAY (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling; the Veterinary Officer examined the gelding post-race and reported that CANTY BAY (IRE) had an irregular heartbeat.

So the stewards failed to question the trainer on why she stated the horse did not like soft ground and today, well backed, won on heavy. Why the **** do they even bother "noting" a previous explanation for a bad run if they don't act when it was clearly bullshit???
