A bit late, but, there's a very small chance that - Jakana - could hit the frame at a big price. When the mare started over hurdles, she managed a 2nd of 5 in a poor mares movice, but then won an 11 runner mares only maiden hurdle and a mares only novice, receiving a mark of 112 in her first handicap hurdle in March last year. I think it's fair to say she's hardly excelled since but has shown the odd glimmer and may well have an uncontested lead. On her penultimate start she finished 5th of 11, in a class 5, off 101. This is her second start in a class 5 and she's now rated 93 and this is an ever poorer affair. I know I'm clutching at straws - but there's a small change she leads and manages to hold on for a place.
