) but fair play to the horse; that turn of foot is potent and will make him hard to beat. It was good result for me, i had backed him AP a few days before and also with Star Sports on course. The reception was simply superb, so all the previous frustration around the travelling was soon forgotten, i didn't have another bet, but we stayed to watch the racing and had a couple of beers. It was good to see our ex-trainers, Dan and Claire Kübler win the finale and although they were in earshot, we didn't get to speak with them as they were with connections.

. I backed CR to win, albeit not as much as i had on his 2 previous runs and my loss was partly offset by a lay of the favourite on Monday (@ 2.06). In hindsight i should have increased the lay stake and reduced the win, but it's easy to say after the event. One positive outome is i laid the favourite in our Longchamp betting fund, it was my turn this week; for those not aware, here is copy of my explanation post in June 2nd to save typing
,seriously though well done and it was a well backed 2/1 fav

or has the Racing Post got that wrong.
Measure twice and cut once Andrew !
Good Luck.
