not sure why Barry Connell should have had the foresight to know that Majborough would improve quite so much from any of his previous efforts. Maj. is now the highest rated horse in the RPR list for 2025/6 season on 179. That is higher than Fact to File, The Jukebox Man, Gaelic Warrior etc. The rating that Marine Nationale achieved in the Champion Chase last March was 6lb lower at 173 so in theory Majborough is now the better horse but will Majborough repeat that run at Cheltenham on the likely good/soft?
Currently a 13LB difference with these 2 on T.Form ratings.
