Some snowflakes on here, horses die everyday and no one batts an eyelid so when a well know one gets injured we are all high and mighty about it. I dont want any horses injured but its a fact of life so if you dont like it watch something else.

I have those bets frequently.
Nothing to get over,Cider. |

nothing wrong with speculating about CH since SG was replacing CH for the yard in the first place. it's difficult to envisage imo, I've been chipping away at both. |

I am more disappointed with Hendo's rancid bad luck
By:
i didnt think he was being deliberately tasteless, he's posing a sensible point as to whether it might change or influence the thinking on ch targets now, i appreciate some may still be on gino but if you look at the ap markets plenty are not and have bet accordingly

Nothing to do with “high and mighty” it is because this Sir Gino injury is so very public that it provokes the response. The majority of injuries, even fatalities, many rarely notice. The fact that it is a weekend trebles the witnessing too.
That’s the reason. No snowflakery imo. |

I can't see CH running at Cheltenham without a hurdle prep race to prove his jumping is back. Even then you still have the Nico factor. This horse isn't winning the Champion Hurdle.
What does resident forum bully 'Uptheirons' think? I guess we'll find out soon... |
By:
id agree spurs but ap market took a hit
By:
Nothing to do with Nico. How can it be when you’ve just criticised the horse’s jumping?
![]() |
By:
Newmarket never misses a chance to have a snide dig at Nico, does he?
A pitiful individual |
By:
no but he's poss right about the prep, if they run on the flat and then turned up at chelt it would be interesting
By:
I certainly would not be a Layer if it ran, elise
By:
really depends what turns up but it would be a split market for sure
By:
Honcho are we saying just becuase the horse is high profile its injury is more important than a selling plater at Southwell? The Racing Post is saying Lossiemouth should now run in the CH off the back of Ginos injury so it doesnt seem to be an issue for them. I didnt say it to upset people and if some people are then I apologise but its a tough game and these things happen. But lets be honest while we all care about the horses, without the betting no one would give racing a second look apart from the owners.
By:
IMO - CH isn't going to just turn up and win this thing on the bridle like 3 years ago. At best he is going to be in a tight race therefore the jockey is a massive factor and Nico is not the pilot you want on board + there is the horse/rider confidence factor after all those falls. Nico is passed it (not that he ever had it!) and the jury is out on CH.

It's a reasonable reaction for people who take gambling seriously to consider the implications of events on gambling markets. Nobody is saying that you have to do that.
