what are your 'sources'?
My own eyes, what I actually see with them in my own world, and that's it. But some of that you've quoted there applies to this country too. eg people being jailed for social media posts. Did any politicians in this country profit from the PPE scandal during the covid? Regarding TV, is it true that no media outlet referred to the removal of the Venezuelan leader as a kidnapping, they all actually used the same terminology to imply it wasn't that? |

100s of thousands of russians have fled the country
Where have they gone? and have *YOU* met any of them? |

in that case broaden your horizons. your own world is fantasy
go and read a few books by those who have chronicled putins rise from day one. its overwhelming unless its all lies and putin is the truth (hes not) ive never said jailing incorrrect opinion is a good thing. stop splitting hairs. you dotn get 14 years for saying kia is a calamity, though he is and if profiting from the state is a problem go and read bill browder about his persecution by putin. or a million others imagine kia appearing on tv whenever he wanted to and telling you all what to do. youd like that. thats all the russian people get it was kidnapping, and illegal. maduro is a complete bollox and deserves life but its not down to the US to decide, or shouldnt be putin would have done it properly by murdering him |

GEORGE.B 21 Jan 26 23:41 The irony here is that when you actually experienced first-hand a form of tyranny in your own country eg education destroyed, businesses sent to the wall, basic civil liberties trampled on, told to cover your face in public, and coerced into taking a jab that is now known to have killed and damaged people, it passed you by, but somehow you feel 'qualified' to comment on other countries that you have no first-hand experience of? A "fantasy" was it? No, my best 'source' witnessed it, my own eyes. |
|
By:
are you implying its not true?
I don't know but was curious who / what is your source. You didn't provide one. It certainly wasn't your own eyes if you've only met two of them. |
|
By:
you are being disingenous in a desperate attempt to deflect
you post what you like and reply to what you like, ignoring what you dont like, and ive put plenty up there, but you dont like it same old an this forum. i may be boring but i dont deflect as you do and answer every question. you should try it. it is therapeutic confronting uncomfortable arguments that make you re-think or think |
|
By:
i didnt 'provide a source'. every source you put up is loonytube, infested with lies. you have no independent sources at all and you dont have 'your own eyes' in russia. you have putins lens
what most would do is google 'russians fleeing putin' but i wont but i will take short odds its true, otherwise it wouldnt be there, in my melon based on what i have read and has left a memory if im wrong, you would go to town |
|
By:
but i dont deflect as you do and answer every question
Actually, *YOU* don't answer any question because you have no first-hand experience of what you're talking about, what you actually mean is that relay what you've read or heard, and as we've established, sometimes without actually quoting your source. |

bizarre
you are so in denial ive posted a ton of stuff over the last few hours which of it is untrue iyo? i put up a big list and you agree ith all of it is that right? you didnt demand a 'source'. why not? |
|
By:
cattermole never generated such interest
or bollox |
|
By:
Why should I agree or disagree with it?
I'm not there on the ground, for example, counting how many people are fleeing Russia. I don't know and neither do you, all you have is your sources. |
|

Putin is a dictator
he invaded neighbour he said in his own 5000 word testament that it was his 'historic mission' to reunite ukraine with russia he has crushed all debate and has murdered anyone who doesnt like it he uses state power for his own ends, and is fabulously wealthy he engages in cyberwar sabotage disinformation and assassination to furhter his aims (thats not proven, but do you doubt it?) 100s of thousands of russians have fled the country opposition is a criminal offence it is a closed media, only state tv exists. all independent media has been purged i have many sources, like a yard of books on the subject. and the testimony of a long line of russian dissidents who live in fear and the words of his neighbours, who all fear and hate him. sweden norway finland, poland, the baltic states, etc, on and on you didnt ask for any sources for this list i posted one million years ago. why not? because its all true and documented fact but you dont like it. another fact why are you so in love with putin? |
|
By:
I see, so if I ask for your source about the number of people fleeing Russia, it must mean I'm "so in love with putin". What a strange individual you are.
Btw madtolo, is there any truth in the rumour that you're a big admirer of Sergey Lavrov? Don't try to deny it, I have my sources! |
|
By:
ok
i will have a £100 bet with you it is true and you will be the judge. not because ive looked it up but because im sure you have which of the above statements are untrue? try and answer for a change. you wont please give us your opinion of putin. you will give it because you are an honest man and welcome free and honest debate that is being stifled by the british state and we need to stand against it so stand up |

It was the fred starter that helped to take it off topic.
There are shedloads of off topic chats on HR, it's funny how some posters object to some and not others. It's hardly a ground breaking topic to start with ![]() |

Bad news for madtolo, just seen that the age to be called up has been increased to 65.
No more fighting Putin from behind your keyboard, madtolo, you're going to have face Putin face-to-face. |

id love to and am already qualified
and the world will be a better place if i did end him, much to your disappointment im still waiting for your appraisal of the evil brute, despite numerous requests why are you so scared of voicing your own opinion? |
|
By:
Like yourself, I have nothing first-hand to report.
|
|
By:
really?
so unless you are directly involved you can have no opinion? is that it? has david icke been on the moon and witnessed the sad flag-waving departure of the young lizards left behind, not knowing if they will see their reptilian family again? you are quite sure putin invaded ukraine and there are about 1 mill dead people as a result. you arent there, how can you know? maybe its not happening at all and all the refugees are actors and how do we fill the gap in our known unkwowns and known knowns? loonytube? putin puts out a lot of info there, so maybe thats the best way yes, thats it, because western meeja is so corrupt, particularly the bbc, which is an arm of the state, as we all know |
|
By:
Like yourself, I'm entirely dependent that what we're told by others is the truth, as we don't have any first-hand experience of the area ourselves.
However, what we can do is question what we're told. there are about 1 mill dead people as a result Where / from whom is this figure from? How many on each side? |
|
By:
credit where its due
you endlessly find ways to avoid reality certainly not from the russian side as putin never tells the truth. please dispute this i said 'about' for a reason. you cannot believe anything from a dictator. you should know that. they are renowned for lying, otherwise they might be unseated by the people they are claiming to protect from the evil outsiders. its an old trick. my repression is for your own good because without it you will be slaves of another power even worse its about right, given some variables, but even if it is 990 000 does it matter? no over and over, the same bollox dictators die in power, because they box themseleves in, and their followers go with them im still waiting for your opinion of putin. you have mine, gratis |
|
By:
*YOU* have no idea how many.
I've googled where you got that figure from: "(Based on data from the Institute for the Study of War.) Russia: More than 790,000 killed or injured, according to an April 2025 estimate by then-SACEUR Cavoli. 50,000 missing. Ukraine: 400,000 killed or injured, according to a January 2025 estimate by Zelenskyy." It actually says killed or injured. You couldn't even get that bit right. So we're being told that the invaders have around twice as many dead / injured as the invaded country. Does that make sense to you? |
|
By:
er yes. history will tell you that invaders suffer greater casualites. for obvious reason. putins propaganda will not
i have not googled anything. without it you would be lost you are again desperately trying to find ways to excuse putin will you ever give us your opinion on the invasion and putin himself? no what are you scared of? |
|
By:
When you are exposed as a know-nothing bluffer, you can't handle it.
|
|
By:
i will make it easy for you
is putin a dictator? did he invade a neighbour that had no problem with russia? has he kidnapped thousands of children? has he made himself president for life(25 years and counting)? has he crushed all opposition and murdered those who stood against him? does he engage in 'grey area' warfare, ie cyberwar and sabotage against his neighbours? are his neighbours justified in planting thousands of land-mines on the border with russia? why have finland and sweden joined nato? no answer from you. just endless nit-picking. admit the fact putin is a monster but you dont care. fine. stop lying |
|
By:
By all accounts he's an evil rotter.
has he kidnapped thousands of children? Could Western elites be accused of likewise, Epstein's Island springs to mind? did he invade a neighbour that had no problem with russia? Have Western alliances invaded any countries eg Iraq? has he crushed all opposition and murdered those who stood against him? He did it all by himself? does he engage in 'grey area' warfare, ie cyberwar and sabotage against his neighbours? Is Trump going to annex Canada and other countries for "security reasons"? are his neighbours justified in planting thousands of land-mines on the border with russia? Is that going to be of any use when it comes to long-range modern weapons? why have finland and sweden joined nato? It can be beneficial for their careers on a world stage? Take Holland's Mark Rutte for example, now Secretary General of NATO. Someone who when in power, was fully on board with the green agenda. |
