The only cruise I’ve been on started on 13/9/01 - two days after 9/11. The Med.  Somewhat tense atmosphere. A smrtrssd Middle-eastern croupier built up two tall piles of chips then flipped them over, smirking as he said “Twin Towers”.  If I’d been on my own I’d have filled him in there and then however I would have fcked up everybody’s cruise by doing so - we were with three other couples.  Little prick.  However main tale is I’d just got a digital camera and had taken loads of photos - day outings to Rome, Barcelona, Bethlehem.  One night on the deck with the group and three white suits wandered towards us.  I stopped the middle one and enthusiastically asked him to take a photo ( of us ).  He gave me an odd look then grabbed the camera, pointed it at the sky and clicked it.  “There you are, I’ve taken a photograph” and smirked as he handed me it back.  Unknown to me it was the captain, who had clearly taken umbrage at my ( un-knowing ) disrespect.  The trouble is instead of deleting the most recently taken photo dumbo me, unused to the camera, deleted them all by mistake.  What a bug ger!  Wife not too chuffed.
