no doubt yes, but still a very unusually high amount in one go

now we get a 90k bet at 1.02 backing Way of Life in the photo, not disputing the wisdom but that is another very unusual figure

IR liquidity decline because of the introduction of RFID tags on horses saddles.

Well anyway, that's what caused me personally to withdraw from the IR horse markets.

My bot ran for about a decade, offering a market, putting up lay bets pre race on every horse in every UK race at between 20% and 50% of it's odds 1 minute before the off.
At those odds some of the bets on some of the horses would get matched by shrewdies, some by the less shrewd as the race played out, cancel everything 2 to 3 furlongs from the finish... simple.
I didn't care if any individual bet was taken by a shrewdie or a mug, all that mattered is the averages calculated pre off.

I wasn't the only one autobetting in-play, there were quite a few ways to skin a cat.

2018 RFID's start to become a thing, the writing is on the wall, late 2019 I switch it off altogether.

The bot using RFID's (the bet taker) now had more info than the bet offeror, so all the bet offerors like myself had to withdraw.
Hence the drastic reduction in IR liquidity.

years ago betfair asked on the forum if the 1 scond delay should be removed . 99% of people said yes.

betfair didn't implement it as they said the market makers need it and if it was removed liquidity would drop .

there can't be many market makers now ( apart from betfair ) as liquidity is dire , time to have a trial for a few weeks and remove it

The one second delay is there for the benefit of BF only.
On Coursers finished at RTV Courses because of it

so paudy's playing in-running but he's not interested pre-off ?

Did I say that?
It is blindingly obvious that they heavily seed the pre race Markets

seeding them would suggest they're merely sticking money up "to get the ball rolling".  playing them would be a completely different story, then it just becomes like a bookie.  and he can see everybody's bets, you can't.

if you're running the show, you shouldn't be an active member in the show.
cos you got information others don't have.  and can bet accordingly.
