I for one enjoyed Nevo's books about how he made a fortune backing value horses and then spaffed the lot up the wall chasing miracle Tote bets that never came off.

He had one massively unlucky run though on the big payoffs - I think it was James Davies that fell off on a run in to the line that would have won him a small fortune.
Would have been monster payoff, but instead a miracle loss - that would gut any of us to be fair. |
