The horse was plenty keen enough early as often happens when they have been sidelined

Hill jumps like a badger and Nico gets roasted by almost all.  Gino shows his wellbeing, and his rustiness and is competently ridden to a smooth, nerves-settling for cnns.  success and Nico gets more cold shoulder.  You have to laugh.
Well done Nico.

His ride in the KG has plenty to find and it might well find it but will not be slowed down by any of my money

sir gino a steering job imo & nico done nothing particularly well or wrong...a total non-story on a good day's racing

He's a better horse held-up, apparently, for a turn of foot.

Jango came out the best in the race imop. Should really have won.

Looking at the replay the mistake at the third last plus the jockey looked to be trying to save a bit to the next fence got it beat imop. He would be the stronger stayer out of the four I think and in hindsight wasnt gonna outspeed them from the last.

11kv in general he would be the worst of the riders involved in the finish anyhow. Today I'd put it down to the way the trainer wants it ridden. If the jockey hadve been given carte blanche Im sure he would have made more use of the horse in a relatively slowly run race. I've no idea what the point of the Ill Est Francais tactics were either.

Simple fact is that Nico is weak in a finish and clueless tactically. Cobden or Bowen wins on Jango. Fact!

Jango’s Achilles heel is his flat-jumping. Thought Nico did a characteristically good job of nursing the horse through the first mile after the horse’s early crunching error but another couple of minor errors proved costly.  His jumping would need to improve to be considered for a Gold Cup.
Paul Townend less than brilliant in the final dash.  Did the whip fumble cost him.
Banbridge gave supporters a great run but lacked resolution in the finish?!
The winner jumped sweetly, stayed well and most certainly can be considered for the Gold Cup.  Imo.
Unlucky all losers in a smashing race.

A good race but I do not expect the form to hold up as the French horse got away with setting steady fractions which resulted in a sprint

Yes, true, but what a spectacle.  All sorts of speculation and opinion to keep us going until March and still to see how the Irish preps. go!

1.06 is crazy

Harry had much more horse left under him but ir players got caught out by him steadying at the hurdles on his jumping debut. Not sure Nico did anything wrong there, better horse at the weights won

The latest of Aceform's ridiculous sayings.

Nonsense, slowed right down at the last and gave his advantage away. Swap the jockey's different result.
However, I'm happy for Nicholls

How many times have you seen Nico beat Cobden in this scenario? ZERO! .... Stop making excuses for him. This is what happens when a 4th rate jockey who can't pace a race, has no tactical nous and is weak in riding a finish goes up against a Top 5 elite jockey.
He is Henderson's mate so it doesn't matter what he does.
