Horatio  IMO the jockey concerned is in my opinion a dedicated stable jockey truly loyal to his stable and their owners has won many many top races conveniently overlooked by his short sighted critics.

I wonder sometimes why I bother to look on here for anything remotely sensible in terms of racing. Not surprised the usual suspects quickly forgot the ride Nico gave Impose Toi, he made it look easy didn't he? At Huntingdon he was perhaps overconfident and the final flight mistake was his undoing but whether he would have prevailed by whipping his mount is debatable, lost by inches to a horse receiving 7lbs and dropped in class who's next target is black type. I get the howls of less effort than seemed warranted but any how; of pulling the mare is ludicrous unless it was the most sublime jockeyship seen in a non trier?

As for comparing him and Cobden based on the result, again ludicrous without even considering that the winning mare is probably better than many thought and the runner up perhaps not so much superior?

Back on topic, Nico is pretty honest and I'd say there's a fair chance he would have admitted stuffing that one up himself. They are not infallible. He gets unnecessary abuse, but it doesn't negate that ride.
