Agree, Donegal, posted on the other thread
Being cynical,no refunds to be issued now if that's the case, but I supposed they are trying their best to get the meeting on
Must have one eye on not chewing up the ground for the Xmas and new year meetings

Generally speaking racecourses give the paying public vouchers for a future fixture if they call it of after just a few races

WonderSB I agree with you. Wasn't suggesting they should, just that they would. However, like most of my predictions on horse racing this dreadful punting year, I got that wrong too!

It will be worse next year as bookies need to get more money back now with government rules.

Yes,jimnast
The rule used to be money back if no racing,or vouchers for future meetings if at least one race...the second option obviously preferable to the racecourse

Fair play to Exeter for keeping going
As wonders says...heavy but raceable

Is Mike Cattermole the worst commentator ever? You could see the other horse coming to the second last when he said everything else had pulled up.

Wont be much better at Ascot tomorrow. Plenty of water around. Swinley bottomless! Was at this meeting in the 90s. First race, couldnt see  a thing  because of fog. They ran the 2nd race in even worse conditions so they didnt have to make any refunds

It’s what they use to do running a couple of races so no refunds I don’t think that happens anymore.

2 races on that hurdle course 40s & 49s above std that's not unraceable if jockeys ride sensibly but never mind
