You say that barstool as if her historical record has no bearing on the validity of her opinion. Which it of course does. The question is should she have made her opinion media-public and of course the answer is no. Based on it being unprofessional to criticise a fellow pro. In public, nothing else. Imv.

Hen was skilled with eventers as well so has plenty of knowledge of how horses are taught to jump and how they progress. Regardless of your opinion of Nico overall, a change would be the last throw of the dice over hurdles just in case CH is enjoying getting rid of NIco who probably rides him a lot at home as well. Animals can behave quite differently depending on who is riding them. When I was young we had a New Forest pony that was very hot because my brother and the late jockey John Haine both rode her in gymkhanas. She won a lot of prizes but pulled like mad. When we allowed an inexperienced child to sit on her she just closed her eyes and wandered along at a slow walk. Not saying race horses are the same but they do behave differently for different riders.

Henrietta Knight has said she has “no intention of giving up” and just longs to find a big-spending owner who could help her return to the top level of the sport.
Well stop telling other big spending owners what to do luv. They are a cliquey bunch. |
