Very sad to read of the passing of Brian Mcmahon at 88 yo. A lovely man who made a name for himself with moderate horses winning sellers and low grade races but eventually found success at Ascot and Cheltenham from his homely stables in Hopwas nr Tamworth. Knew how to land a gamble whilst not destroying the SPs. I had shares in a couple of horses with him including my namesake, was on Bangers and Cash a couple of years ago selling his Subaru Wxi which he said got him to Haydock in about an hour and his V12 EType, will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. RIP Bryan and thanks for some great memories.
used to work for the breeders of a horse called Band On The Run, followed his career, won loads of races for Bryan over many years. A very good trainer.RIP.
