Hulk, has Basher shagged your wife......?
By:
I thought the Basher fellow was into women Aberdonia, seems I might be wrong if he has had hulks wife? lol
By:
Probably loses a couple of grand a month punting, makes about £12-20k a month from his revenue streams. He's done a very good job at marketing himself and bringing people racing. Syndicates are the future of racing for sure.

Hulk, has Basher shagged your wife......?
Heard she was caught with some Irish rugby players whose shirt numbers added up to 108. |

Ha horses now with Mick Appleby, not sure if he has dumped Charlie Fellows and has had yearlings at Adam Kirbys yard.
By:
Mick has already improved one, immensely, on one run.
By:
That can happen though, it can also go the other way. Fellows gave him his best days in France. Haven't heard anything about She's Perfect. I still 100% think he should have cashed in on her
By:
I think (and I could well be wrong here and don't want to be disrespectful) but I think he will move their lesser horses who maybe will spend most of their lives running throughout the autumn and winter months on the All Weather to the likes of MA....He does the best job with them so seems sensible to me.
By:
For everyone that gets moved, I don't doubt he will purchase another and possibly go to CF.....they are clearly very close

Oh So Perfect - moved from Fellows

Charlie Fellowes, Newmarket
George Boughey, Newmarket Jack Morland, Newmarket Rebecca Menzies, Sedgefield Mick Appleby, Oakham Owen Burrows, Lambourn Ben Pauling, Cheltenham List of trainers from his site |
By:
As for Appleby, he has proven what he can do with group horses, albeit sprinters where the step up from handicaps to group races, is much easier....
in no doubt if Mick had Charlies horses and vice versa, that Mick would do the better of the 2......lol, when comparing like with like |
By:
He may also just be moving due to location.....if he keeps all of his horses down South you ostracise most people north of the Milton Keynes!....It makes good business sense to have horses spread around geographically....his syndicate numbers are clearly increasing.
By:
He remains a sockless wannabe
By:
Will he still be at it in 5 years time?

Charlie Fellowes, Newmarket George Boughey, Newmarket Jack Morland, Newmarket Rebecca Menzies, Sedgefield Mick Appleby, Oakham Owen Burrows, Lambourn Ben Pauling, Cheltenham List of trainers from his site That’s a lot of remittance envelopes the dealer……transportation, vets etc……sleepless nights… |

Too big, too quick, too many horses imo
Would love to know what wage he takes for himself. Good luck to him though, not easy keeping all those owners happy. |
By:
It will end in tears,imo

Have to agree with the previous 2 posts.
Good luck to Basher but far too much of a 'lads culture' attached to this club. 'The lads' will not be patient and racehorse ownership is all about patience, unless you get lucky! |

Going to the races on a Saturday in the Summer has become a "no go" for me even in the Owners and Trainers.
Football chants halfway through a race and "Oi,Oi Saveloy" if they back a winner ![]() |

Based on information from 2025, Basher Watts runs a horse racing syndicate and reportedly charges around £10,200 a year per horse as a management fee for his syndicates. Management Fee: This fee is in addition to the initial share purchase, membership fees, and training costs. Operating Costs: For some horses, he has charged approximately £750 to £850 a month to manage costs. Syndicate Structure: He manages a large operation with 600-700 clients and multiple horses, often providing weekly video updates. Syndicate Participation: He often retains a percentage stake in the horses he manages (e.g., 7% in She's Perfect). These fees are to cover his time, effort, and management of the syndicate's horses. 13 horses this season, that's a lot of hassle but very well paid as a full time job |

... Nothing new, I recall a big crowd of rugby fans at Newbury about 40 yrs ago singing and phecking about. Its only more noticeable now because of social media.

£132K per year punting money

The tears are certainly not Bashers though
By:
Good luck to him, joining a syndicate wouldnt be for me personally but luckily we still ( just about ) live in a democracy.
By:
Syndicates are great and I'm not knocking them but when you add he sells 1% shares for £400 buy in per horse then £40 a month, that's crazy money he is making.
Give him his due, most are sold out, he will need plenty winners to keep them all happy. |
By:
And,we all know that is not going to be easy, the dealer
By:
It's not, patience is a virtue many don't have.
By:
Giving a horse "time" is a language which may well be foreign to the Basherites.
We will see |
By:
... If the owners of Shes Perfect were only in it to make money they would have sold. ???
You seem to be going on the assumption all syndicate members are joining to make a profit, gambling will only be a small part for most is my guess. |
By:
If most have 1% share I doubt they were ever in it to make money. they were offered way over the odds for the filly and should have sold imho they voted as one not too, the wrong decision for me, time will tell if they will regret it or not.

Wondering Why looks a smart prospect. I think the business model is perfect. I wouldn't join as they're too lively for me but I can see the appeal. Good on him, great for the sport. Imagine he's making a good £250k+ a year from all revenue streams
