Ronnie and ribero were both asked this question at the weekend and both said the same wrong answer so are barred from answering

No goggle please

Since the leading trainers title at the Cheltenham Festival started in 2002 only 5 trainers have won it can you name them

Report s.kenbo November 19, 2025 12:45 PM GMT
Google actually lists seven trainers since 2002 (if 2002 is included).
Report jimnast November 19, 2025 12:54 PM GMT
I noticed it on a winning trainers board at Cheltenham at the weekend it was from when the trainers title started those names on it went back to 2002 I thought perhaps it was 2004 but either way there’s only 5 different names on it
Report jimnast November 19, 2025 12:59 PM GMT
It was as 2004
Report Busyfool November 19, 2025 1:05 PM GMT
Johnson?
Report zzzorro November 19, 2025 1:08 PM GMT
Mullins, Nicholls, Henderson, Jonjo?, Johnson?
Report jimnast November 19, 2025 1:11 PM GMT
Well done busy

Unlucky with jonjo he won it when not recognised as a competition zzzorro
Report jimnast November 19, 2025 1:12 PM GMT
Elliot was the other zzzorro
Report zzzorro November 19, 2025 1:15 PM GMT
I thought Jonjo won it in 2003? Obviously not, forgot all about Elliot.
Report jimnast November 19, 2025 1:18 PM GMT
It was zzzorro I changed it to 2004 as I read it on a trophy board at Cheltenham the trainers title only started in 2004
Report zzzorro November 19, 2025 1:19 PM GMT
Got you.
Report Busyfool November 19, 2025 1:25 PM GMT
Blimey. Thats a first

I am no horse racing triva type at all. My next gues was M C Chapman  Happy
Report jimnast November 19, 2025 1:27 PM GMT
Chapman would be more likely than nick Gifford
Report Busyfool November 19, 2025 1:33 PM GMT
Careful. He is on fire atm (by his standards)
Report s.kenbo November 19, 2025 3:01 PM GMT
Inglis Drever was a great horse for Johnson. Great shout there, Zzzoro. Thought that was a tough one.
Report jimnast November 19, 2025 3:07 PM GMT
I asked a few at Cheltenham at the weekend including two members of the forum each on got the obvious 4 and all said de bromhead none got Johnson without clues.
Report s.kenbo November 19, 2025 3:20 PM GMT
I’d have needed a lot of clues to get him. Was never in my mind at all.
Report jimnast November 19, 2025 3:27 PM GMT
Me to kembo just shows you how it’s changed 3 winners won it

Back in 1982 18 races jonjo was leading jockey with one winner and that was the last race of the meeting the county hurdle he won it on most placed horses.

Pre meeting favourite imagine laying him and you do your money like that
Report s.kenbo November 19, 2025 3:44 PM GMT
That’s incredible.

Eighteen jockeys all tied on a win each. Could you imagine eighteen different jockeys winning the first eighteen races nowadays? No chance.
Report comingupthehill November 19, 2025 4:02 PM GMT
Alan king,he had a big few years with choccie.
Report ronnie rails November 19, 2025 4:05 PM GMT
