Was Hosaamm declared a runner?
Report ashleigh November 15, 2025 1:43 PM GMT
yes.
Report GEORGE.B November 15, 2025 1:44 PM GMT
Hosaamm, who's got previous for refusing, wasn't going anywhere, so why he wasn't withdrawn after the first false start, you'd have to ask the starter, as it appears he has been declared a 'runner'.
Report stu November 15, 2025 1:45 PM GMT
No it wasn't, look on here
Report stu November 15, 2025 1:47 PM GMT
sorry meant not a non runner, though should have prob been
Report wondersobright November 15, 2025 1:48 PM GMT
wasn't being held when the flag was dropped...clear refusal

= a runner

IF  horse takes no active poart why should people lose their money?

rules are archaic and embarrassing.,
Report GEORGE.B November 15, 2025 1:52 PM GMT
Yet a rule has been brought in whereby horses that lose ground at the start can be deemed a NR under NH rules?
Report Busyfool November 15, 2025 1:54 PM GMT
It should not have been but Im glad it was as I laid it when it was mucking about

horses denied a fair start not caused by themselves

Report GEORGE.B November 15, 2025 2:01 PM GMT
So all those non-jiggers out the back at sharp tracks like Huntingdon and Ludlow, all going to be declared NRs?
Report GEORGE.B November 15, 2025 2:02 PM GMT
* lining up out the back
Report Cider November 15, 2025 2:02 PM GMT
no
Report GEORGE.B November 15, 2025 2:06 PM GMT
And if the leaders go off like the clappers and stop, are the stewards going to study the sectionals and say, actually, you were probably at an advantage being slowly away?
Report Cider November 15, 2025 2:08 PM GMT
no. the new rule covers a reasonably niche scenario where the horse had its chance compromised by a starting error. not a scenario where the jockey wants it to be at the back, or the horse doesn't fancy racing today.
Report GEORGE.B November 15, 2025 2:13 PM GMT
Any instances yet, or past instances where the new rule could have been applied iyo?
Report wondersobright November 15, 2025 2:14 PM GMT
none so far
Report Busyfool November 15, 2025 2:15 PM GMT
Its a matter of time before this results in a race being turned into a mockery

In Frogland they declare a faux depart, bring em back and it is given another chance or withdrawn, depending on the starters view. Seems unfair on the others but thats what happens

I know this because I did what I like to do here and lay refusers but in this case the thing changed its mind and won. big loss
Report wondersobright November 15, 2025 2:16 PM GMT
slightly different being the flat but the thirsk 1 earlier this year with the 3rd place NR was a total sh1tshow
Report wondersobright November 15, 2025 2:16 PM GMT

"After an initial false start, the start was effected successfully on the second attempt. However, having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.

Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that HOSAAMM had refused to race after the start was effected and was therefore deemed a runner."

Hence why the tw0t could have let them go first time, instead of being the centre of attention....

They will be perfecting their ineptitude with an eye of repeating last year’s dismal effort at Cheltenham in the festival.
