Children in need have just lost £50 on jonbon lol

Seems pig-headed of connections, and potentially detrimental to the horse, to continue running him at a course that he clearly doesn't enjoy.

Jonbon today..... Seems pig-headed of connections, and potentially detrimental to the horse, to continue running him at a course that he clearly doesn't enjoy. Aye he has only won the Race for the last 2 Years. |

Ever thought that a lot of his need a run ??

Especially when he says there 2 weeks behind .....after the race

He has had the horse long enough to know how to get it fit first time up and it didn't drift

Like Constitution Hill,I shall be an observer on their next starts

I don’t think I’ve ever backed it but I have loved watching it. Decent fortune today to get second spot but in the past, in defeat, he has shown such guts, which I like.
They all come to an end though. Talk of a longer trip hints at a degree of desperation. |

It barely put up a 150 today Honcho and was blessed to finish second.
A definite no bet for me when it runs |
|

He did win at Aintree over the sharp 2.5 miles so he might stay 2.5 at Huntingdon for instance. Still a no bet for me though unless he goes off at 4 or higher.

I trust in Henderson and will not be giving up on Jonbon yet, if he has come out of the race ok. Henderson didn't seem too downhearted when interviewed post race either.

At his normal starting price range and with his in and out actual win record he has never been a worthy bet or play for me. Has regularly been great to watch though.

Yes he has taken us on a ride along with Constitution Hill......I will be surprised if any of them win another Race.

Record at Cheltenham 2 from 7 (28%).
Record away from Cheltenham 16 from 17(94%). |

Did Hendo not allude to Jonbon would not have appreciated further today after having spoken to de Boinville post the race? If so Ryanair would be an unlikely agenda either; Champion Chase will be too pacey, and a proven nemesis too.
What's it with Hendo? Altior had had his quirks, similarly Shishkin. And, Jonbon is looking that way inclined too. I cannot see Jonbon coming back after yesterday. |
|
By:
I forgot to include Constitution Hill. Btw Jonbon is 11/4 for the Tingle Creek. Anyone tempted? Odds-on to nearly 3x yesterday's.

Wrong course, wrong ground, horse only half fit.
No excuse for bringing a horse to the course half fit. First 2 in the big handicap today both coming back from a break. |
|
By:
Hendo:"I know people will say they've heard it all before but when I see Constitution Hill now, he's suddenly developed quality."
Is the man for real? Altior and Shishkin were phenomenal horses. Then, they developed a case of quirkiness and indifference to the game. Similarly, Constitution Hill (last season). Jonbon (?). |

It is always wise to believe what you see rather than what you hear

Couldn’t agree more. Has always been my way too. I still admire Jonbon though. His determination and consistency make him a stand out for me. If it’s over it’s just the way it goes.
