Backed the horse more than once over hurdles, but never quite delivered. Already looks better over fences with his jumping looking a real asset. Probably not Grade 3, but might well end up winning a decent handicap. Nice ride as well, always well positioned and didn't panic when the horse went past him to lead into the straight. Rides Act Of Entitlement later - will we get the Cheltenham or the Fairyhouse version?

Not sure what to make of that. The Elliott horse ran a shocker and the outsider of the lot hacks up
After the Festival I thought natural progression would see her as a Mares' Hurdle candidate, but she was awful at Fairyhouse, and judged on today's run they haven't corrected any problems. She was laboured throughout and again didn't jump with any fluency. Maybe that Mares' race that she won was no good?
That's what I was thinking. Jubilee Alpha and Aurora Vega the only one's to do anything for the form.
My only bet on a very difficult day. Unfortunately, went out first thing and 'lost' 5 points - 14/1-9/1. Big downgrade on the jock, but hopefully, he just gets on the front end and makes the most his jumping and stamina. Not a strong race for the Grade.
Out ran his odds, but no consolation. Bottom line is that O'Keeffe is far more than a short head better than O'Connor. It's not great news when you hope a horse is going to make the running and he is last after two fences. After that took much too long to get the horse interested, and of course he would have been second in another stride. If he is going to be ridden like that he needs an even stiffer test of stamina.
