Thanks very much for the kind words.

And thanks to Foyleswar for starting the comp and putting up a generous prize, and to undecided for selflessly giving up his Saturday afternoon to do not just the overall scores, but in-running scores too.

very many thanks Foyles and Undecided. I have just got back and thought I may have a squeak. But then I saw George B's selection! I was with TWO ......TWO people on the 4th floor who backed the 250/1 shot. One had £2.50 ew, the other..................£20 ew!!! He was beside himself. managed to back all of my selections but, stupidly, left Lion out of place pot and put Docklands in instead. Bad decision. Paid £328. Anyway, first time I have won at that meeting since Cracksman. All the best and good luck to you all.

Delashay, If you go to Breederscup.com there is tons of free stuff there including live at the track

during the morning workouts (start about 7/8 am their time so 2/3 pm here.) They also show the track's

feed on the days. The websites a bit of a mess to navigate but it does have a lot of details including

replays of prep races etc.

Swifty and leif replies to Delashay...
I just read, hilarious

Reminds me of many years ago on chit chat...

Someone had said that they had a court appearance upcoming
When asked what the charge was, they declined to say
Which, obviously, led to speculation
First 3 guesses from the forumites were...

Upskirting
Flashing
Stealing knickers from a washing line

Brilliant chit chat sense of humour

Thanks Roggrain I’d like to visit when next out there so I’ll make note of the tips. I prefer the event to Champions day myself.

WD George, an inspired selection and the fat lady was certainly singing after that race. Many thanks to Foyleswar for the donating the prize, a kind gesture, also to Undecided for relentless support with several competitions.

Thanks Foyles and undecided for organising that, really enjoyed it.  Well done George. I realised different tactics were needed to beat 60+ other punters than to beat the books and put all mine in to win only when most of my bets are e.w. these days.  As it happens you would still have won if Powerful Glory had finished 4th.
