ranges from £100 > £5000

Yes, I've got that new icon on my account now saying there is a deposit limit, but their doesn't seem to be a figure imposed by them on the account , just an option to put your own one in all I can see is 5k exposure.

Thanks Duffy. Just checked my a/c and it says there is a default limit set but not how much.

It also says you can set your own limits (with a 24 hr delay) so I'll see what happens if I do that.

I'd set it to something sensible rog but not restrictive to what you need
Report wondersobright October 12, 2025 3:52 PM BST
that way if you do hear from them at least you can say you "gambling safely" & within your means
surely better than leaving it as no limit
Report swiftynifty October 12, 2025 3:54 PM BST
If you aren't concerned about your gambling set no limits, once you activate it they've got eyes on you.
Report duffy October 12, 2025 4:01 PM BST
Agree with swifty, not putting any figure in there, always thought that by doing that, like self exclusion, rather than being "responsible" like we always hear pushed, it actually strongly suggests that you don't trust yourself.
Report roggrain October 12, 2025 4:02 PM BST
Just looked into it and they say that if you increase your deposit limit they may initiate an

affordability check! Catch 22! So I'll leave well enough alone.
Report wondersobright October 12, 2025 4:08 PM BST
so set it as something non-restrictive
Report wondersobright October 12, 2025 4:08 PM BST
then you won't need to increase it

Never set a deposit limit

I stupidly excluded myself from Sky 2 years ago as I only wanted to bet on the exchange. Of course not thinking that Sky are part of Betfair so locked myself out of here as well. Finally back on and have to wait until January for a deposit limit increase (currently £100 a month) as thats the rules they tell me after an exclusion. God knows what they'll want once that elapses.

It's an admission of a potential problem which can be used against you
