They were very sweet on the fresh strip not being too soft and the horse was in it's summer coat which explains the money for it. Won very cosily too

Sticking with Minnie Hauk although no financial interest.  Three time Gp 1 winner with the filly allowance and still improving.  Draw the main issue.

Thank goodness I ended up saving on it - 18/1 better than nothing. You won't see many worse Arc rides than what Buick gave Cualificar. Instead of committing to go forward he just gave away a good draw, and from then on was never at the races.

How could we possibly have accurately evaluated the going with such variance in times.  Arc reported as fast by 0.23. Don’t know what that says about the day on the whole or the pace of the Arc.

Well, as an Aventure nut since last year I backed her at 16 and 14 and then looking at her in the paddock I thought she looked fantastic and had another go at 7 on here.  Halfway she looked great but then, maybe coming wide and off the pace, she didn't run on. I won't give up on her yet. I must attend to a small bonfire of betting tickets in the garden now.

Each to their own but when they disappoint I give them up.  There are plenty more coming along any minute with punting possibilities.

I do not think she ran her race at all; her price drifted alarmingly from 6 to 10 here prior to the race. I'm sure there will be another day for her to show her potential, possibly in America, here or Ireland. I hope it would be against Minnie Hauk (Mr Tabor stated she'd run again), and Whirl.

Bring on the King George at Kempton. The two key market principals are Fact To File and Gaelic Warrior. Both are trained by Mr Mullins. Beware.

Constitution Hill is a bizarre 5/2 for the Fighting 5th at Newcastle at the end of next month despite the numerous embarrassing episodes last season; fav is The New Lion at 6/4.

The fact Aventure appreciates soft ground, i would think America would not be on connections minds.

Can Aventure give the weight as a 4 year old? I’m not having what they said earlier:

She hasn’t looked it and only ran against the colts once this year. She’s bagged her G1 last time out so I see why the trainer feels no pressure this year.

Kaplana got closer to Calandagan on ground that was fast enough for her than Aventure did, even if Goyen was easy on her.
That to me isn’t enough evidence for her to be favourite. She has to lump weight to Minnie Hauk who’s a big filly & won’t be getting 10lb from the older colts this year.

She’s only beat Junko 2 1/2L when he was her pacemaker at Saint - Cloud. He was only 2L behind last years 6th place Sevennah’s Knight earlier this year.


An option given on the fav and many of the journo’s picks, a perfect lay! And it was there for anyone to discuss, which none of you did!
