We have been staying at the same Premier Inn on the Thurs and Fri of the GN meeting for many years.
It has always been a regular venue with racegoers as it is located outside the City Centre.
Last year we were the only racegoers with half a dozen workers staying.
We were paying over £200 a night.
They had introduced a £5 a night parking charge.
Following their regular request for feedback I wrote to the CEO and suggested they have a look at their business strategy and that the parking charge was a final straw.
His minion got back to me with 'thank you for your valuable feedback etc' Aintree is suffering as well as Cheltenham.
