Personally I don't think it was as clear cut as racing tv are suggesting. The 2nd never really got a chance to come at the winner due to consistent interference. However, there is not enough evidence for a reversal and Shoemark didn't even try to keep the winning margin down so it will have to stand.

Compared to previous cases, this was bad interference from Oisin, and looked deliberate - but as above can't be sure result would have changed.
Ban of Ois, result stands. (Should be the case)

Race 1 - 1:50pm THE VIRGIN BET BEST ODDS DAILY "CONFINED" CONDITIONS STAKES (CLASS 2) (not won Class 1 and won no more than one race) (GBB RACE)
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following possible interference from approaching 2 ½ furlongs out to the line, involving the winner, ROYAL PLAYWRIGHT, ridden by Oisin Murphy and MISTER RIZZ, placed second, ridden by Kieran Shoemark. The Stewards considered that from approximately 2½ furlongs out to the furlong pole, no interference had taken place because both horses had moved independently left-handed to the stand-side rail, with the space remaining consistent between them throughout the move. The Stewards considered that interference did take place inside the final furlong, but that it had not improved the placing of ROYAL PLAYWRIGHT, as despite the colt tightening MISTER RIZZ for room against the rail, ROYAL PLAYWRIGHT appeared to be gaining ground throughout, with the consequences to MISTER RIZZ being brief in nature and minimal in terms of loss of momentum. Furthermore, at the point at which the rider of MISTER RIZZ eased his mount in the final strides, ROYAL PLAYWRIGHT was a length up on the gelding. With the winning distance at the line being 1 ¼ lengths, the Stewards ordered the placings to remain unaltered. The interference was found to be accidental as ROYAL PLAYWRIGHT continuously hung left-handed despite Murphy’s best efforts to correct the colt.
20 mins to come up with this.

Thanks for posting the summary of the SE. I backed Mister Rizz. As many of you correctly stated with the rules the way they are RP was highly unlikely to be thrown out. As a pocket talker I would say that I disagree with some of the statements made by the Stewards. Has the jockey of RP got no responsibility to straighten his mount at all as he hung extremely badly and the jockey of MR responded by allowing his mount to drift the same way at the same rate (did he have any choice)..later in the race MR had to check and as his ground was taken could not finish any closer than a 1 1/2 lengths against the rail

A good piece of race riding by the winner and a relatively naive ride by the second. Barring a diabolical decision by the Stewards (which had happened in the past there)the result was always likely to stand

murphys horse goes 15yds left..continues to lean on 2nd last fur and accidental..
kirranes horse moves 1 yard right at ponte yest and careless riding warning..
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately ½ a furlong out, involving the winner, VALENTINE CATCHER, ridden by Sean Kirrane, and KEEP WARM, placed second, ridden by Joanna Mason. In arriving at their decision, the Stewards considered the degree of interference suffered by KEEP WARM, the relative finishing efforts of both horses, and the rapidly diminishing margin of a nose at the finishing line, and determined that with an uninterrupted run to the line, KEEP WARM would have finished ahead of VALENTINE CATCHER, and revised the placings as follows: First, KEEP WARM; Second, VALENTINE CATCHER; Third, CITY CAPTAIN; Fourth, HAVANA RUM (IRE); Fifth, MISS HATHAWAY. Kirrane was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, carrying Mason off her intended line for several strides.
pmsl what fckn nonsense
