In entirely unrelated news, here is a story from three years ago involving a failed gamble, a 42-year-old owner, a jockey who has not ridden since March, and the BHA integrity department.
Don't take this as gospel because I have no inside info whatsoever and have just been trawling through Raceform Interactive looking for northern jump jockeys who have not ridden for several months.

Section 42 of the Gambling Act states that it is an offence for someone to "cheat at gambling or do anything for the purpose of enabling or assisting another person to cheat at gambling". Anyone found guilty could face a custodial sentence of up to two years.
