A big run from Scandinavia @ Newmarket catapulted him up the ranks but it’s worth remembering both colts have beaten the same horse Nighttime Dancer 8 1/2 & 10L

You know what you’re getting from the Nordic (who I felt was too short a fav and made so with the uncertainty about Lambourn’s target)  AOB’s other two are open to further improvement stepping up in trip.

So I can see why it’s drifted and baldfred has pushed it to 11/4.

As an artist I love the colour pallette of Further’s silks!

Scan is 5/2. Unless the ground is too soft this is a very good price. I think either he wins or be no where. A possible lay for 2 places.

It said it was good but the way it was coming up I’d not use the ground as a concern, just market correction (was too short)

I’d liked Shin Emperor initially but the softened ground and lack of drift put me off. Was 8/1 when good of better.
His run in the Japan Cup as a 3 year old was massive.

Can you imagine in years past a double derby winner running in the Leger against Cup and Queen's Vase horses and being odds against let alone actually vying for favouritism around the 2/1 mark. I fully accept that it was by no means a good Derby but still....and the Voltigeur just wasn't suitably run, Lambourn looks like a horse that will be better the longer the trip and you've got to fancy that whatever Scandinavia and Carmers have done over 2 miles he would equally have done...at the prices he's got to be the pick for me.

Lambourn stole the Epsom Derby courtesy of some injudicious riding of some jockeys, and the principals not showing up or ran unbelievably bad eg Pride Of Aras, Delacroix and Ruling Court. The Irish Derby was "managed", and as such the win amounted to little; the Voltigeur found him out though hence the Leger.

Just blame me if neither Scan nor Lamb wins. I've them both in ante.

I've gone for Scandinavia, although it is a very trappy heat.

Aiden was very pessimistic pre race at York and it was not a strongly run event, Moore made his own running in the Derby and he stretched them from a long way out, he looks like a real grinder to me, surely the money will come for him closer to the race....I've been sucked in, or knowing me suckered in

Irish Derby “managed”my rss.  Great ride by Moore got the horse into the first two after 2f.
