What would you have said if his run had been blocked and he likely would have got beaten? Even then he hadn't allowed for the leader rallying, and without the interference the result would probably have been on the bob. For me an overly cocky ride on the best horse in the race.

Soumillon hasn't got off to the best of starts, but that might be down to the horses? He has a track record at the highest level, Loughnane doesn't. He is flavour of the month as the cheerleaders find it easy to latch on to a young kid doing relatively well. Aidan can revisit his options if/when Loughnane starts racking up wins at a higher level.

Agree DD. I was on for a nice amount if McMurray won. First thing I said to wife when he crossed the line was that he gave it a ****. Thought he had Pegasus underneath him.

things didn't go his way on McMurray, but he still got it up and actually won quite cosily despite getting broadsided by the runner up.  finding ways to win, how many finding ways to lose ?
