think we,re missing the point here
AOB said the york race was a joke, his horses didnt get a chance to run their best race JG aint going to ire because he said tight track with AOB mob handed unlikely to get race run to suit so 2 grade ones,2 best horses,2 best trainers and no one thinks they,ll get a fair crack at the race, basically JG thinks coolmore will cut him up thats the game at its highest level in uk,now do every race below that |

Gosden bottle?!
Come again! ![]() |
|
By:
Never believed the form of the Eclipse as stated elsewhere ;)
|
|
By:
What irritates me is that John Gosden always has an excuse when his latest superstar gets beaten (again) Ombudsman ran right up to form but Field of Gold is just a decent 3yo miler who was way over rated. If the draw put him on the wrong side then find a jockey who can get him across to the other side. It was a straight mile with 16 runners for goodness sake.

Always enjoy his interviews. One of Racing’s standout representatives imo.

An aftertime by Delbert.
Has this ever happened before ![]() |

... Just seen he actually turned up on the Comps thread with his nonsense aftertiming... What a complete plonker.
Didnt have the bottle to join himself but crawls on afterwards spouting the biggest load of bollix you will ever see. Sad phucker. ![]() |

As he doesn't bet,it does'nt matter to him.
One of his copy and pastes is bound to be right, eventually ![]() |

Field Of Gold - was always over rated!
Took some time to see that but the clues were there and didn’t I ask why or how he’d been given a higher rating than Ombudsman? I can c&d where I stated that beforehand for those who doubt! ![]() ![]() |

“Always enjoy his interviews. One of Racing’s standout representatives imo.”
Agreed wholeheartedly! Most trainers make excuses Sage - AOB made them for Delacroix re the pace after the International. Turned out a two horse race with the shippers not trying and Delacroix got a new one torn for him that day too! ![]() |
|
By:
There’s a lot of irony in AOB suing the the international was a messy race as the Eclipse had looked the same also.
|
|
By:
If Delbert had posted his 6.47pm post pre race he might have some credibility.
The fact is,he didn't. He turns up well after the race,as usual,to try to appear smart ![]() An aftertiming, non betting, copy and paste bore with no equal |
|
By:
It is one thing to make valid excuses but Gosden still seems to think that Field of Gold is the best miler around despite plenty of evidence that he is not. His defeat in the Guineas cost the jockey his job but has he improved since? He has been fourth and fifth in his only runs against older horses and the ones he beat in the Craven and the Irish GNS have hardly been advertising the form. Wimbledon Hawkeye has won a good race at Keeneland but Aomori City has since been gelded and Cosmic Year and Hotazhell have failed to win since he beat them.

I'm very surprised that Johnny G didn't withdraw Field of Gold from the QE2 yesterday, given that he knew he wasn't "match fit", he wouldn't run again this season, and therefore yesterday couldn't have been a prep run for an upcoming race.
Obviously just trying to nick another weak Group 1. |

Oi gob****e bottle job!
Just to remind you of how many times you and others were asked! ![]() Delashay • August 18, 2025 10:47 AM BST Delashay • August 17, 2025 6:56 PM BST And before I retire for the evening to paint into the night, I’ll ask YOU ALL : Would you be willing or rushing to take such short odds for Field Of Gold again even thought two all age mile races have been won by the older generation despite there being NO standout star? Delashay • August 17, 2025 7:26 PM BST Delashay • August 17, 2025 7:08 PM BST It’s an open question to everyone I’ll await anyone’s thoughts on that subject and question posed, but I won’t hold my breath for a racing based response. |
