If the horse is balloted out or eliminated under Jockey Club rules single bets will be void. In any such cases, accumulative Future Racing bets will stand on the remaining legs, at the prices laid on the selections in those races, with a double becoming a single, a treble becoming a double, etc.

It was an online bet. Their rules actually include rule 121. I just want others to be aware (as if you didn't know), that not all bookmakers can be trusted.

Another reason to avoid ante post betting in the current climate. Just have double stakes on the day if it's shortened and actually lines up.

I actually win long term but Ante Post betting is rare and for small stakes only. Funnily enough my last winning A/P bet was Magical Zoe in last year's Ebor. I remember backing La Parisienne to win a nice sum in the Arc a few years ago. She was balloted out and, guess what, I got my money back.

You know when disgruntled Ryanair passengers say "We'll never fly with Ryanair again!", Michael O'Leary doesn't care does he because millions of others will.I'm saying I'll never bet with Fred again. He won't care, but maybe some of you will now look elsewhere before you do.

Pretty obvious you're dealing with some braindead loony who clearly doesn't understand the basic rules. Betting companies are full of them. Demand to speak to someone with intelligence.

Just noticed Fred is sponsoring today's Amateurs Derby at Epsom. WARNING SIGN would be an appropriate winner.

You'll get your stake back eventually if you don't give up.  It's the hassle and time it takes to get it back that you'll lose.  I'd post a review of your experience on Trustpilot. 

I had an ew bet on someone for the top tryscorer with Freds and they finished joint 2nd.  They applied a dead heat even though the ew terms were 3 or 4 places.  They said the bet was settled correctly when I raised it initially.  It just makes you want to bang your head against the wall.

Years ago I got a tip for a horse, by the stable's head lad, for the Cesarewitch that was eventually balloted out. I had a grand on with Ladbrooks who refused to give me my money back so I phoned the Newmarket stable and they confirmed it was a void bet. Went back to the shop and asked to speak to Head Office and they gave me my money back. It ran in a 7 runner field 2 days later and had 1k @5/6 with Barry Dennis, my wife went to pick the winning up and he wouldn’t pay her because she didn’t put the bet on.
She got the ring manager and came back with the money. Three separate punters came up to thank me as they changed their bets when they saw the size of mine.

Jockey Club Rule 121 decrees that stewards are empowered to reduce the numbers in a race if, at the overnight declaration stage, too many have been left in for the safety of horses and jockeys. Ante-post bets on horses compulsorily withdrawn in these circumstances will be void and stakes returned.

There is a sure way of not getting fleeced ante-post which is to never, ever, bet ante-post.

Fred does return on balloted out horses.

Had a £10 ew on Famous Bridge for the GN and some days later was told by the shop manager the hose was ballotted out andthe bet was void in the till, I got my score back.

Was then daft enough to put the £10er ew on the nag in the Scottish GN, only for it to pull up.

Easy come, easy go.

The big problem with the baldy welsher (and a large number of other outfits, Slybet being the most obvious) is that they pay peanuts. Well, you know what you get in that case. The major problem lies in the middle amnagement. Senior management don't want their positions challenged by any young ambitious whippersnappers. For that reason they employ middle managers of no great talent. In particular they us epeople who have no idea of what the business is and how it operates. They might as well be middle managers in a fish farm. They are just seen as "middle managers". Now the obvious, how can theses middle managers train the junior staff when they themselves are so clueless?  Makes it all clear?
