If I can say one thing for it it's that it does seem to be 7/2 (approx) the field most races so from a betting perspective it "should" entice....But it doesn't.
This sport has never been and will never be a team sport.

I don't mind it at all. For the naysayers don't worry, you'll live. I promise you there will be racing tomorrow and a card at chelmsford later. Some good prize money on offer, the vast majority of them will be trying. And it appeals to a different audience.

In fairness it's not really much different to normal racing, its just the waffley team BS that I cannot get to grips with....and all this joker piffle.
I am sounding bitter to be honest....maybe i need a beer and will shut up....a winner is a winner

I just look at the races and dont bother about what teams they are in. The prize money is good so as has been said most of them are trying. Not so many horses being 'stopped'. Turn off the nonsense being talked and just watch the race. Simple.

I think the second paragraph clearly shows why its a turn off for many punters.
Much as I'd like to argue the point, I'm afraid there were quite a few basic errors and we saw some odd-looking behaviour in the saddle. It's easy to see why a trainer would feel something bordering on exasperation, though that might also have been true after some previous Shergar Cups.
It's appropriate to make allowances. These riders are far from home, surrounded by strangers, in some cases dealing with a language barrier, trying to steer unfamiliar animals round an unfamiliar course while competing with unfamiliar rivals under unfamiliar rules. How many of us could perform to our best in those circumstances?
