soooo much feedback from folks within the industry and (should be!) more importantly punters that there's too much racing - response 2 fewer fixtures in 2026....same old same old elite throttling the life out of horse racing to the point of no return. I'm glad to have lived through the golden ages of late 70s to early 00s but despair at what the 'leadership' has done to the sport since then.
I'm a casual greyhound bettor and read all the articles as to how the greyhound racing board, the very organisation tasked with managing the industry, were primarily responsible for the dramatic downturn in the sport and wondered how the hell that was allowed to happen - for all those younger folks with a passion for racing, I suggest you wake up and find a way to register your views because another 10-15 years of decline will see the majority of racing eliminated outside of the festivals and drinking carnival fixtures.
