4.55 blessed star, just beaten on first run of the season by horse now rated 90, runs off 77 in this race, trainer won it last year and low weights have a good record in the race last, expecting a big run today
Funny old race, one non runner and my other pulled up early on. Thats life folks.
I had to back Jonquil again as I follow the yard but I can't understand why they are running him at less than a mile. He was catching the winner in the French 2000Gns and well outpaced over 6f at Ascot. I am getting more certain that he needs 10 furlongs and can yet recapture that French form. I feel for Andrew Balding as he might have won the Newmarket guineas if FOG had not taken precedence.

Well just the one winner today but what a great price even if it was a dead heat. Such a shame about Cracking Gold being touched off in the last at a Bfsp of 22 and Temple of Athena placed 3rd when going off at Bfsp of 26.

Fort George attractive in the first. Has run well at the track, appears to need the ten now, decent jockey, neutral draw and win and fifth place bet aimed to at least clear stake for me.

I had a bit of luck at the start with Al Aasy and Ricki Tikki Tavy on offer as an enhanced double on PP so hanging on to my profit. I rarely fall for those sort of offers but as I fancied Al Aasy as my best of the day for the naps comp, I decided to go for it. Paid 13/2 the double.
Mudbir at 5.39, second winner, almost makes a break level day with just the 4.55 race to come.
