Good racing, good prize money. Just ignore the teams element.

Absolutely ramruma

Our lass loves it, did really well last years series, she can’t wait

Good prize money, but only 2 races filled, just ignore the new presenter, Megan Nicholls.

how does the prize money effect punters,do we get a share if we back the winner ?
By:
theres that many contrived race cards now that i dont even look at
shergar cup sun racing racing lg ladies cards apprentices card all grey races i dont bet at wolver ,but thought i new my racing ,but the horse that died on course had apparently ran 160 odd times and i,d never even neard of it ,let alone watched, backed it |
By:
With the exception of apprentice and ladies cards I agree.
By:
the whole concept is a joke. just looked at the 1st race and representing Yorkshire.....2 trainers from Newmarket. what really is the point?
By:
...and why do the Racing Post need to put a spot next to every horse making the racecard look even more different? We know they're all running for a team ffs.
By:
Epsom Horse representing Ireland i mean wtf.

Scrap it now and save any more embarrassment ffs.

Kevin Blake finaly seen sense and gave up his Captancy.

18:10 Tuco Salamanca was midfield after the start, but was taken back by Nicola Currie (when the pace wasn't actually that fast) and subsequently was never going to get close to the all the way winner. Would still probably have been closer than 8th of 18. Like nearly all class 2 sprints at York, that will turn out to be a good race and the jockey switch to Billy is a positive.
By contrast I was going to lay Secret Beach in the first, before the drift, because I don't rate wins in apprentice races and a I don't like a gap of 13 days between runs because these horses tend to be unlucky, and the stats back this up! |
By:
you spent 4 million trying to get people in to racing and a newbie might cotton on to a few horse,s running in red and white all season and tonight the same horse might be running in black/green, pointless
By:
exactly 1tp, caps in team colours would be enough, it ruins the card for me, you relate horses to the silks you normally see them in, and obviously it makes watching the races a farce too. As for owners I'm sure they only tolerate it because of the prize money, you wait for yonks to see your horse win in your colours and then....it gets a win one of these.
By:
if this was on any other race day race , comms/pundits etc woiuld be bedwetting passing on one colour change on a horse ,tonight there,ll be a 100 colour changes and no one gives a fook

swiftynifty re Racing Post card. Spot on.
Ruins the page and not easy on the eye at all. We have just had Wimbledon, The British Grand Prix. The Open Golf Championship. A great Cricket Test at Lords. Sadly The Racing League does not cut the mustard. |

Saffie Osborne, winning most jockey 2022,2023,2024.
8/24 last year 5 rides today |
By:
Saffie should do well again because her Dad is always so keen on winning this. And the real thorn in the Wales/West team's side was Kevin Blake managing the Irish team and he has now been replaced by Mick Fitzgerald (who may not be as enthusiastic).
By:
Well I don’t mind it but accept it’s not everyone’s cup of tea ,agree with swifty and barstool about all those black spots totally unnecessary
By:
Bookie run fodder. ALL unfathomable handicaps. On terrestrial TV. Only for the mugs. I wouldn't have a bet on it with monopoly money.
By:
Most of the favs are stopped for this event for the bookies to cod the punter , stay clear of the rubbish
By:
Can’t wait till tonight.
Not since the heady days in the 70s,when Fred Truman presented the indoor pub league,of bar skittles, billarads, dominoes and fives and 3s,have the public been in anticipation to the start of a league. |
By:
A big advantage a punter has is they don’t have to have a bet
By:
At the end of the day it's just a horse race meeting.
If you don't fancy it leave it alone, |
By:
if you fancy one/betting one where a captain plays his joker, DO YOU DOUBLE YOUR STAKE

By:
Not for me. I've stopped watching for many moons now unless a price boost is involved.

Would the price boost be for a bet or an arb ?

A price boost is an inducement for this doo-doo. I'd rather play slots or watch paint dry.
By:
If bookies did half price odds,I d lump on everytime.

The missus has a library of classic Emmerdale. Might watch a couple. Zack in South America. Can’t wait.
By:
Classic Corrie and Emmerdale on ITV3 every week day.....Tracey just killed Charlie Stubbs....2007
By:
Anyone know why the black armbands ?
By:
The timing could not have been worse. It's just before the King George & QE2 this weekend, and Goodwood next week. Why waste one's firepower on this pile of doo-doo before the real thing in a few days' time? Totally illogical, I think.
