I wouldn't use on desktop but editing odds on mobile is slow and fiddly so on the (rare subset of rare subset) of occasions I am betting IR on mobile I might use it.

I was unaware of it and didn't realise Betfair had become that desperate - but I do sometimes give money to "down and outs" in the street, so I might consider using it.

the only reason that is there is that they've had a brainstorming session about how to increase their profits. not one about how to help the punter, how to increase their profits. probably gave Tadhg a week to come up with something or he was getting drop kicked out the front door. thought not ....."
Yes, in fact that often happens. Match me is a good idea because it is quicker than chasing the price down, but it has been implemented very badly.
1. it only operates on one selection at a time. Pick two runners and it turns itself off.
2. it leaves the focus in a funny place so changing the stake becomes fiddly.
3. if you hit return, it cancels the bet. Without "match me" return places the bet.
Almost as if Betfair never tested it, but that's the modern software industry for you.
