A shade unlucky I thought jinxy.

Seen too many poor rides by him , had the rail but did not push the horse up , came off the rail and still had had a gap but too scared to take it . Unlucky , yes , gutless also

Possibly.  Certainly a mistake to up the rail unless you know you have the pace to go through.  Any jockey in front worth his salt will shut the door.
It won’t stop me from punting his - unless he keeps making that same mistake.
