Conor Graham was too big at 8/1 for top amateur. I annoyingly missed it and halved my bet taking 6/1.

On a lighter note.....Has anyone played any Championship courses.....I play of 15 btw.

I played Carnoustie....treated myself to a Caddie....Got completely overawed with the occasion and shot 99.....and i birdied 18!

Carnoustie, best I’ve played.  The first three holes are good but you start to wonder what all the fuss is about, then it opens up.  Amazing.  Turnberry.  St Andrews.  Caddie essential at St Andrews, imo.
My mate, somehow, managed to birdie Spectacles.  As we walked to the next he said “I’ve just birdied the second hardest hole in the world”!
When I asked him how so he said “Well Gary Player says this is the toughest course in the world and that was stroke index 2”
How could I fault his logic?  Cool  Laugh

Enjoyed Carnoustie and played St Andrews day after Walker Cup and off their tees and shot a 94 which I was delighted with . My fave was Queens course at Gleneagles . In those days last orders was 10pm , we had them lined up !

Brill LH Laugh

We were in a ballot for St Andrews but no joy unfortunately.

I'd love to back and have another go....I was completely overawed and I shouldn't have been. Was completely relaxed on the first tee in front of a busy clubhouse and nearly air balled it...I was worrying more about what my caddie would think than what I was hopefully about to enjoy. Lessons learned.

Ill defo give as many Championship courses a go as soon as possible.

Great stuff Paulo...Well played. I wish i'd scored 8-10 shots less

Quick tip for real golfers, if you want to play st.andrews, and avoid the
Choppers ballot,  stay at the old course hotel. If ya cant, pop up to
The caddie master at old course hotel. Give him a drink and he will get
You out. The OCH, books all their allotted tee times a year in advance
All 4 ball slots, but lots a 1,2 and 3 balls, he will slot you in, if they are
Not 4’s,

Are you suggesting I should give up a pass time of mine because I play off of 15 or am only bang average at the game?

Yeah, knock it on the Gulliver,  yor ****, everytime I get stuck
With a high h/capper, they usually behave like their h/cap, play
With your fellow choppers and just keep out of the fcuking way

Think I will sit on the side lines for a day or two and see how it unfolds.

I was going to go with my mate one year we said we would go to the open but never got around to it then he died I wish we had made the effort now.

I don't know anything at all about golf, but I'm going to have a small bet on Justin Thomas because someone at my work said he has a great chance. Matched at 60 on here and laid off at 20. Let's see what happens.

Although Rory is short in the betting we do know he loves the course and if he gets off to a reasonable start (unlike 2019) then he will be hard to beat.

The other picks of mine have already done me a favour in various tournaments earlier in the year so owe me nothing, so will stick by them.

I do think that Scheffler is too short, especially given his comments this week about golf not being that important to him these days.

Chef making some strange comments, bizarre even.
Rory shot 61 round there, as a 16yo, I think it’s still
The course record, love watching Rory play, hope he wins

Done Jon Rahm 15 and couldn't resist Mccarty
at 1000 on here.

11/1 Rahm at books 10 places.

Difficult not to see Rahm in the shake up YHTL.  Two Irish Open wins (not at this course) so likes the sea air and also played ok in 2019 here finishing 11th.

Managed to get 42 against Oleson top 5 finish. I can only assume that someone mistook it for the win market as it was the highest odds on there at the time. I have laid it at 30 as there is an awful long way to go but a free 12/1 bet is a nice start.
