When you look back at all 6 matches it was a real roller coaster but the determination was there to see. Spain wilted in the face of 14 lionesses some of whom played 360 minutes in a week. Chloe Kelly hit one of the hardest penalty kicks I have ever seen by man or woman and seems totally fearless. Her cross for Russo's goal was the highlight of the game for me. Wiegman only made one mistake which was playing Lauren James who missed an open goal in the first 5 minutes and should never have been on the field yesterday.

I didn’t watch any of it lame, I mean live.
But when I saw the headline that England had won it was still within the half hour so looked on iPlayer and rewound the end Pmsl, the penalties were hilarious. It’s just a good job for England all women’s football seem to be horrendous at taking them. |
