2.42 Worcester, I'm A Starman with Sean Bowen riding about 5/4.
This 12 yo horse has been in terrific form over hurdles this Spring/Summer winning 4 races on the bounce rising from 95- 110 and another hike in future to 117. Looked to be under a strong drive as they turned into straight here lto but responded well to win by over 3 lengths, i think a 7lb rise would be too much for him in future as 107 is highest mark he's raced from previously.
So they have decided to try to exploit a lower chase mark over the bigger fences, but hasn't jumped over a Chase course for over 2 years when PU off a mark off 94, best performance over fences was when 2nd btn nearly 2 lengths at Carlisle again from 94.
Gets in off 105 today so some 11lbs higher than then, main concern for me though is the way he hurdles, very quick and low over hurdles, i can't see a 12 yo suddenly slowing to arch his back to jump the larger obstackles some 2 years later. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't complete again.
I could be made to look a right plonker later so will sort ear muffs and crash helmet out to protect me from the vitriol.

Can remove the crash helmet now, ran and jumped well after such a long break but mark too high over the bigger jumps. He finished but a remote 5th so any 3 or 4 place layers suitably rewarded.
