Yes the 2/300 layers well brassed off, can thank Ryan for their losses, not many would have extricated that and got up.

Not many. I doubt any would have got out of jail like Ryan did.
Moore 'pulls them out the fire' more than any I've seen in recent years.
Moore came with a late run, not really pulling it out of the fire.

Backed it last night so am obviously delighted. He's ridden many brilliant races this season but that wasn't one of them. If that wasn't a big race he would have coasted home. As I've been saying two seasons now Moore has been hugely better riding O'Briens up with the pace. That ride there was like the bad old Royal Ascot getting blocked in rides, albeit this horse's turn of foot won the day.
Thank God Delacroix didn't get beat a short head. You'd have been demanding Moore's head on a spike.

I think the ride and how the race went for jock and horse it was the definition of 'pulling it out the fire' ram. Maybe your definition of the phrase differs to mine.
No I actually would've blamed Soumillion more to be honest. Seemed determined to keep Moore in.
Ryan would have preferred to be forward but didn't get into a needless pace battle so rode like the good jockey he is
Pace battle? I take it you haven't you read and heard the comments from Moore and O'Brien post race.
