Day off work on a rainy Monday.
Its never a great idea to back horses that have never won a race and trying a different distance to their last race as well so its small stakes only ![]() 2.00 Sure and Steadfast - Never been as far as todays 10 furlongs but was staying 4th on over 8.5 furlong last time in a race where the winner came out and won a Class 4 carrying 4lb more next time up, the second won a Class 5 next time off a mark 2lb higher and the 3rd and 5th home were both placed in Class 5 Hcaps next time so the form is steady enough.Today is a Class 6 and Sure and Steady has been dropped 1lb. Currently around the 10 mark on here, win and place bet. 2.30 Wish This - always chancy backing on first time up for new stable, Wish This is 2lb higher here for his 3rd place last time out but has that negated by auseful 7lb climer, drifting a little which isnt great but the 1st, 2nd and 4th all won next time up and maybe this extra furlong will also help.Currently 14 on here, again its win and place, hope the stable wants it! 4.55 Great Escape - up 4 furlongs for handicap debut, mark of 104 looks about right, in his last race over 2 miles he was badly interfered with by the eventual winner and would have gone closer than his 3rd place, the winner won again next time out as did the 4th placed horse. Another one drifting a bit, currently 10.5, again its win and place. 5.30 Defeinite Dream - completes the four that have never won a race yet was consistent before a 155 day break then returned and was placed 4th in a race where the 1st, 2nd and 3rd all come out to win next time out, two of them in handicaps off similar marks, back agaisnt her own sex today. Currently around 9.4 and again win and place.Godd luck today folks. Luck will be needed! |

1.06 and beat....Must say I thought Davies gave him a peach...Just outstayed. No complaints
By:
Very unlucky to be beat by one 8lb out of the handicap, hope you traded out?
By:
I'll never lie mate, I rarely do and didn't in this case either. No complaints mind.
By:
Normally I've some sort of lay off price in, didnt have a chance in the 2.00 and this one is drifting like a barge close to the off 14 out to 24 doesnt look good. But, its horse racing, fingers crossed!

Any fancies folks?
1.30 Liberated Lad looks too big at 10.5? Third in a similar race last time out, under todays jockey, the 2nd, 5th and 8th all obliged next time out, although the winner didnt frank the form finishing plum last next time up, same mark today for Liberated Lad (64) so fingers crossed for win and place. 3.00 Was looking at Invictus Gold and Prince of India, both have had the form franked from their last time out races but noticed Crestofdistinction, up 10lb in future races courtesy of an easy win last time out, suspicions are that he is not as good on turf but a close look at his last run on turf in a Class three shows that that form is looking quite useful and he was beaten less than three lengths that day, chance taken at 8.6 and a top five finish to cover. 8.20 Giseeles Defence, won this race last year off the same mark, drop back to this distance will suite and in decent nick looking at his last race where he finished in front of a next time out winner, around 8.4 on here, win and place. Good luck today folks. |

First one was exceedingly well backed, off at 5.3 and somehow hit 1.81 in running? Sadly was only 1.45 in the 4tbp market so didnt bother, finished 4th of course

Like Invictus Gold in 3.00 (glad to see you mentioned it Jinxy1) up a hefty 11lb but did it really well lto and given a bit of time since
gone ew (5), also Belsito ew in 2.10 Carl 214 course form and Tom Eaves decent record (more placed than win) up gl chaps ![]() |
By:
Good luck NEC, yes it won well last time out but 11lb is one hell of a hike in the weights, fingers crossed for the first five.

Is there no stopping AOB and Coolmore.? Just about Everything they touch turns to gold at present. An unstoppable force.
By:
Yes honcho, that one turned the form around from Royal Ascot and they knew as it was well backed.
