Why oh why will this man be allowed to sit behind the wheel of a car in 20 months time after serving his ban?  The following remark applies not only to him but to every person convicted of driving under the influence - banned for a minimum of 10 years if not for life!!!!  I am now in my eighties but in a previous life saw at first-hand the appalling results of a drunk getting into a car and driving. Still haunts me!!!
