I don't know much about Gayle beyond cricket, but I don't think it's the greatest of images coming on giving it large with the big cigar. It doesn't shout professional sportsman. I doubt very much he was the best dressed on track, but saying that was all part of the act.

I saw Chris Gayle, complete with gold bling and 4lb bat, smash 15 sixes in his 151 not out in a T20 at the County Ground in Taunton. The other 10 players were so
awful that Somerset still managed to lose the game, but nobody really cared. Gayle just got down on one painfully injured knee and somehow made the ball defy gravity. The balls were still rising as they cleared the pavilion, the river and then Morrisons car park, one of them finally being recovered from the site of the old cattle market. He hung around for over an hour afterwards too, posing for photos and kissing the laydeez. For a guy with #worldboss as his Twitter hashtag, he was a lovely bloke, and it was funny seeing him with the mirror shades, the diamond ear studs and the gold chain strolling into Nando's in Taunton High Street. Pity he was only with us for a fortnight.

I agree but that’s if you believe that that is all he said. Also the world is different now with how you can make an approach.

Mike Tyson is held up as an icon, yes he served his time but he still did the crime, the victim is left with that. Society should think who they hold up to be admired. That’s my point.

Tyson is a convicted rapist. Gayle made a witty, charming quip (imo), which has (wrongly again imo) offended some people. The two are hardly comparable.

I wasn’t comparing them, he was an example of short memory and a real bad role model for the youth. He was not only convicted of that but had also took a chunk out of his opponents ear,  Holyfield because he was bettering him.

He even sells Cannabis gummy sweets in the States shaped as an ear trading in on his cannibalistic trait!

Gale has baggage and is only into his own self promotion which is not give air time to.
